Can't Help Falling: A Sweet Romance Age Difference Novella by John Irvin is the story of love and loving yourself. Kaela Theron is trying to live her life the best way she can. Being a successful actress and mother of three children is not easy, but being divorced adds a whole new spin to her tale. While her ex-husband is running about with his next conquest, she is working hard to put food on the table and taking care of her children. Her only guilty pleasure is romance novels. She loves them, so when she gets the opportunity to attend a book signing by her favorite author, she grabs it with both hands. When she meets Mason Haran, she has no idea that he will surprise her beyond words. So when he asks her out on a date, she accepts. There is definite chemistry between them and, if given the chance, this could turn out to be something beautiful. However, she is more than a decade older than him and society will never accept their relationship. What should Kaela and Mason do? Do they even have a future?
This was a very different and very entertaining story to read. The reversal of age difference was a very good spin, one that had my attention from the moment I read the blurb. I loved how the author portrayed the story, made it sweet, beautiful and real at the same time. Everyone deserves love; everyone deserves to have that one special person in their life who will love them irrevocably. Mason is that for Kaela; he understands how unique she is and how she thirsts for attention and love. He gives it all to her and makes sure that she is aware of how important she is. I loved the relationship between these two and how they adored each other. This is such a simply beautiful, fulfilling story.
