Developing characters and writing have been a part of Randi’s life since she was a teenager, one hundred and fifty thousand years ago. She spent time performing stand-up comedy at Los Angeles club amateur nights and studied Improvisation in the Bay Area. Realizing that she preferred having an income, living indoors and eating regularly, she reluctantly put her dreams on hold and entered the corporate world, yet never left behind her sense of humor and creative storytelling ability, skills which were not always appreciated during budget and strategy meetings.
Now, after living indoors for a while and eating regularly, albeit too much, Randi has picked up her pen again and her third novel, THE TRUTH ABOUT CAROLINE will be released mid 2015. It is the continuation to her second novel CAROLINE STARTS OVER (2014). Randi's first book PAULA TAKES A RISK was released in 2012.
Randi's unique wit, writing style and candor will surely make the reader sit up, stand up, roll over or assume an interested leaning position and take notice.
Randi lives in the California wine country. She would never claim to have a genius IQ, the body of a super model. However, she can spell “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” Randi maintains a trim, well-toned body that is cleverly concealed beneath twenty pounds of soft protective layering and she has the appetite of a bird (vulture).
Things that Randi cannot live without: people to laugh with, her car horn, a gym membership where there are chubby women who break into a sweat while putting on a jog bra, wine, waist capes, and her wife, Carol.
Randi does not like mean-spirited people, liver, left-overs, communal dressing rooms, tight underwear, and people who point.
Randi is five-foot-seven.

As the title suggests, Randi M. Sherman’s novel, Caroline Starts Over, is about a woman who is poised to reclaim her life. Trapped for eighteen years in a loveless marriage, Caroline Matthews silently rejoices when her husband dies. Around twenty years ago, she led a happy-go-lucky life. A bisexual, she was in a relationship with the ambitious Rachel, but got pregnant with twin girls and decided to marry her casual lover. This was a decision that she always regretted so, upon becoming a widow, she sought out Rachel who is now a popular personality. The two reunite briefly but things are not what they seem to be.
Caroline Starts Over is a story that anyone can easily empathize with because many of us would like to turn back the wheels of time and relive the happiest moments in our lives, and perhaps take a completely different road. Author Randi M. Sherman tells the story of the unhappy Caroline who prefers to live in the past, although pretending to be happy and fulfilled with her husband and twin daughters. She wastes no time when her husband dies and rekindles her relationship with Rachel. The plot seems to be linear until the last few chapters when it takes an unexpected turn. And this is what makes the story interesting because, in spite of the surprising turn of events, the author is still able to weave the story seamlessly together. Sherman takes us on for the ride and then exposes the real Caroline at the end. It is a roller coaster ride!
