The old Val would have been attracted to the new guy at work, but the new Val knows that someone that good looking and charming has to be nothing but trouble, and she’s not going for any of that. She has someone safe and stable and reliable and that’s much better than passion and adventure any day. But Charlie just doesn’t want to take no for an answer and before she knows what she’s doing, Val finds herself sucked into his charm. But is he really all she wants him to be? And what will happen to her job when it turns out he’s there for different reasons than she might think in Charmed by Charlie by Amanda Uhl?
Val is just like most of us, wanting to take the safe option and avoid any risk of getting hurt because it’s happened to her before. But she doesn’t want to completely give up on love either. Instead, Val is curious and she’s definitely charmed, which really makes her easy to relate to. I loved the characters in this book because they each seemed realistic and flawed (even Charlie), and you can’t help but relate to them. If you’re interested in romance, you’ll love this book because it’s sweet and it’s full of a lot of romance with just a little bit more thrown in there for some balance. I walked away wanting to know more about these characters and just where their relationship was going to lead in Charmed by Charlie by Amanda Uhl.
