When a burglar decides to steal from Gina, her 12-year-old son Billy, and their family parrot, Cluck-Cluck, they are subpoenaed to testify at the trial, and then the fun, drama, and laughter begin. In the fun-filled story Cluck-Cluck Goes to Court by SJ McGarry, you become a spectator as to why a parrot would be called to be a witness in a burglary. Even before the trial began, everyone wanted to be a part of it to witness firsthand how a parrot could testify and who would be able to understand the answers to the questions. Little did anyone know that if you were present in that courtroom, you would be in for a treat. While Gina and Billy try to keep Cluck-Cluck quiet, he decides to show off his many skills, from singing Broadway tunes and speaking in his own style to his infamous dancing techniques. Yes, Cluck-Cluck loves an audience and being in the spotlight. Not only can Cluck-Cluck talk, but he has so many other tricks up his sleeve, as he goes off on more adventures.

Cluck-Cluck Goes to Court by SJ McGarry is inspired by the author’s Yellow Nape parrot, Cluck-Cluck. He was not only family but also provided so many great times and laughter for the family and others who came into the pet store. This book is ideal for any type of reader, especially bird lovers. The author creatively and cleverly portrayed the personality and character of Cluck-Cluck in this story. It will be cherished by those who knew him personally and those who knew him through this story for many years to come. If you find yourself loving this book, you’re in for a treat.
