Sonny and Sandy Swinhart authored Confident Like a Crocodile to encourage children to develop confidence. Using amazing photos of crocodiles, the Swinharts teach children what confidence means. Confidence is one of the characteristics that children need to succeed in life. With confidence, one can overcome any obstacle. But unfortunately, too many children grow up feeling inadequate and lacking the ability to succeed. So instead, children are encouraged to conquer fear and walk with their heads held high. Often, when a child lacks confidence, they won’t even try new things. This book will help children know that it is okay to try and, even if they fail, to stay confident. They can always try again. There is too much negativity in life. Parents, put your child in your lap and teach them how special they are. Your love and encouragement, along with the confident crocodile, will put your child on the road to success.
Sonny and Sandy Swinhart are siblings. They grew up together, and now they write books together. They are the authors of the Better You Zoo series. The photos they use in their books will delight children of all ages. The goal of this series and this book is to build positive characteristics in children. The words of Sonny and Sandy are simple but put together engagingly. Their understanding of children shows through on each page. After counseling parents for over 40 years, I can highly recommend Confident Like a Crocodile. I believe Sonny and Sandy's entire series will prove valuable in helping children grow up and understand emotions. Confident children do better in school, in life, interacting with other children, and interacting with parents and other adults.
