Dagger's Dilemma: Not Lady Like Series by K. Carter is the story of a woman named Dagger ‘Dag’ Jackson who had nothing holding her back, but now is a different story. Dag had no strings attached to anything or anybody. She enjoyed being a hitwoman that people feared and she loved her two friends. She followed the rules set by her boss and she was sure that things were just as she wanted them to be. She was happy with her existence and had nothing to worry about until she met a man named Luca. He is everything that she hoped and wanted, but she cannot have him. Now she is feeling something she never did before: vulnerable. To make matters worse, there is a certain someone who is threatening the security and the lives in the town that she has tried hard to protect. What is she going to do now? Can she find a way to protect everyone she loves? What is she going to do about the feelings she has for Luca?
This book was simply amazing. I loved the action, the pace, and the incredibly detailed and developed characters. I have a serious girl crush on Dag; she is who I want to be when I grow up! She is sassy, intelligent, determined and sure of herself. She knows what she is capable of doing and she is not afraid to do it. I loved how humble and human she became when she met Luca. He brought out a side of her that she was not prepared for. Oh, she fought with it, she tried her best not to give in to the temptation, but Luca’s pull was too powerful. I loved the dynamic between the two. I enjoyed this story and I can’t wait to read the other novels in the series.
