Dawn Patrol by Jasmine Nightshade is a cool lesbian romance. Dawn Fairchild has always wanted to work at the Scorcherz Sunscreen Company. Now that she has a degree to her name, she gets an internship at the most coveted company in Bliss Beach. However, to prove her worth and show that she is a team player, she must participate in the bikini competition that is judged by Scorcherz. Dawn is ready to do whatever it takes to keep her job.
Jada Sinclair has worked her butt off to get to where she is now. She has spent her life working at Scorcherz. Being a black woman and gay is not a good combination if you want to become successful, but she has done it somehow. While judging the competition, she notices Dawn. Later they share a passionate kiss, but Jada has no idea Dawn is her new intern. Will Jada seize the day and give in to love? Or will she let go and lose the opportunity?
Dawn Patrol was a sweet and steamy romance. Jada was a strong character, but her reserve was understood. She represents almost 95% of the gay community. The novel was written beautifully. The characters were well developed, they moved and felt real emotions. I was particularly drawn to Jada. She was very relatable. I could empathize with her and understand her issues. Plus, she was completely charming and charmed by Dawn. I really adored that. A cool romance. I cannot wait to read the next novels in the series. Five stars and nothing less!
