Author Biography

OKTOBERFEST WOMAN OF THE YEAR FINALIST, EPIC NOMINEE and GLOBAL NOMINEE, ANASTASIA AMOR is a university psychology and education graduate. Amor believes in balance. She is the proud mother of two, a pet-mom and a teacher. She also speaks German and is learning Spanish. Art and writing are her passions but she loves to dance and is a known chocoholic. Twenty years in Mexico, research of Mayan ruins and Cozumel cultural experiences inspired the popular Adie Sturm Mystery Series. As a martial artist she puts realism into Adie Sturm’s fight scenarios. For diving research in DEAD DELICIOUS she learned to scuba dive. Psychic experiences, Cuban journeys and karate training sparked the fantasy-paranormal HAVANA HEAT. Her Canadian heroines are intelligent and fearless as well as sensual. Amor also writes erotic romance.

In Days of the Dead by Anastasia Amor it is Oktoberfest - the evening celebration before the Days of the Dead Tour. Drinking, dancing, party fun and murder. Just what Adie Sturm needed, a murder just before the tour to Cozumel, and the murderer may be going on the tour with them. Someone is out to try and do in Ingrid, Adie’s devious boss who has somehow convinced Adie to help her find a stolen art antiquity, and with this things get complicated. Meeting up with two old friends, Diego and Wolf, Adie is torn between the two. Diego needs her help, as someone is out to destroy his sister. Wolf is there to help Adie figure out what is happening on the tour.

Days of the Dead is a tale weaved with murder, hot romance, intrigue, and suspense. Who is in the group that is trying to get rid of Ingrid? Where does Diego’s sister play into all of this? Seems there are suspects creeping out of the woodwork, and Adie would love nothing more than to  expose them and turn them over to the police. Now, the murderer is after Adie. Will she discover who it is  before they get to her?

Adie is a modern-day, sexy Agatha Christie. Along with romance and murder, you will find adventure a little humor. The characters are charming and quite captivating. Overall Days of the Dead is a wonderful story put together very well.

"Kudos to Anastasia Amor for another hit! Days of the Dead, her second book, is another enjoyable read! With super-sexy men, an exotic location and the story's beginning, at an Octoberfest Hall in our hometown, made this Adie Sturm mystery very exciting and fun to read. It was hard to put down - my favourite kind of book! I can hardly wait to read Adie's next adventures. Anastasia has definitely succeeded with these literary endeavours - keep it up!" S. 5 stars …Adie Kicks Butt Again My favorite petite blonde firecracker, Adie Sturm, returns for more murder, mystery, and mischief in Days of the Dead. This time her tour to Cozumel gets off to a rough start when someone from the travel agency she works for is murdered. Despite Adie’s own personal feelings, she is compelled to unravel it all and protect the life of the agency’s owner. I completely enjoyed this book with all of the twists and turns and even ghost stories. If only I could convince Adie that Wolf is the guy for her and become Diego’s consolation prize . . . . Anastasia Amor delivers a page turner that I could not put down until I’d finished it. If you love mystery, romance, and a dose of humor from time to time, I know you’ll enjoy reading “Days of the Dead” ever bit as much as I did.” —Michelle Stinson Ross, Florida

“Adie’s back and so are her hotter than hot men, Wolf and Diego. Who will win this time? Adie for sure, if she can stay alive and out of trouble. We’re back visiting Cozumel, but not before someone dies in Kitchener during Oktoberfest. A sad coincidence or will the killer follow Adie? Of course, there’s no coincidence and that’s all I’m going to tell you.

Ms. Amor has written another heated cat and mouse hunt for Adie, and Adie’s readers. The scenes between our heroine and her male admirers are just as steamy as book one and just as frustrating. I can’t figure out who I want Adie to end up with.

DAYS OF THE DEAD is pure escapism… While the mystery is interesting and I’m kept on my toes trying to put the puzzle pieces together, it’s the dialogue and personal interactions which hold me in.

Adie’s one romance female I can handle, she’s not all goo-goo brained over the guys. She’s smart. She’s self-aware. Adie is liberating and confident, yet she’s still questioning her reactions to Wolf, the man who broke her heart, and Diego, the man who may truly want to love her or just can’t deny the hunt.

Ms. Amor again brings in new characters, while not completely unique in standard characters traits; they each add and stand alone. Together they bring emotional levels to DAYS OF THE DEAD. Without them, you would feel something missing from the anger, laughter, silliness of vacation, and even confusion necessary for a successful mystery romp.

The Adie Sturm Mystery Series continues to satisfy.”—www.freewebs.com/chrischatreviews

Long and Short Reviews

Amor has as good deal of fun in creating the backdrops for these mysteries. You never can tell just what will crop up – this time around the tour group Adie is with manages to land in some fun and unpredictable spaces, (like who would guess the Bavarian Band, not to mention the costumed dancers…) Funny – or maybe just weird – situations abound, from insufferable George, the big guy afraid of plane flight (or was that cover for the groping?) and finding herself photographed while changing. Poor Adie never gets a break! This is a fun read, and will be very welcomed by fans of the series.
