Author Biography

Sharon Lynn was raised in Arizona, but it was living in England as a teenager and every return trip since that inspired the setting of her Cotswold Crimes Mystery series. As a professor of theater, film, and writing she coaches and mentors aspiring artists. Her short stories can be found in anthologies from Malice Domestic and Desert Sleuths. She is a member of the Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, Crime Writers Association, and International Thriller Writers.

In Death Takes a Fall by Sharon Lynn, Maddie McGuire, a 19-year-old hiker, was stuck on a ledge after she slipped off the Cotswold trail while grabbing a few alluring blackberries. Her current love interest, a handsome young Scotsman, Constable Edward Bailey, was standing on the cliff above her. While exploring the small landing, Maddie discovered the nude body of a woman with a tattoo of a unicorn's head on her torso, while Edward dashed off to get help. Finding out what had happened to the unfortunate deceased woman became Maddie's obsession. Maddie was devastated when Edward disappeared. She was looking to him for support but secrets from his background began to come to light, pushing her into risky situations.

Death Takes a Fall: A Cotswold Crimes Mystery by Sharon Lynn was intriguing and had lots of interesting cultural and archaeological facts. It was a page-turner, and the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. The events were described in detail, and each new revelation made the murder even more horrific. With all the twists and turns, I never knew what to expect next and was guessing until the end. With lots of humor to lighten the dark mood and genuine suspense, the story had intriguing characters and surroundings. Maddie was witty and resourceful, and she never let anything stop her. The mystery was expertly written, with enough twists and turns and possible suspects to keep the pages turning. I was hooked from the start and could not put it down!
