Deny Tomorrow by Ann Heathman revolves around Special Ops leader Zach Acevedo, whose task is to assassinate a prominent warlord, his team and what confronts them day to day. Arianna Garrett is an investigative journalist who is challenging herself to obtain a story on the rights, or lack thereof, of women and girls in the region of Kervistan. It is a Taliban stronghold, and dangerous territory to even set foot in. It is Arianna’s goal to share their plight with the world by exposing the cruelties and control they suffer. To do this she hides beneath a burqa and determines to speak to as many women as will meet with her. Zach’s team of men are also his friends, they rely upon each other for sheer survival. When they are confronted with the rescue of Arianna, it sets off emotional wheels that could mean death for them all. Her kidnapping begins a tale of intrigue, romance and mystery as they learn different levels of trust and adherence to the rules for survival.

Deny Tomorrow by Ann Heathman will hold your attention, right from the start. I found the story of great interest. The characters portrayed credible personalities, showing regular characteristics, considering the extremes under which they must operate. If you enjoy a good strong novel and don’t mind strong language and unreserved sexual content, this would be an excellent book for you. It maintains its excitement throughout, and does not disappoint with the twists and turns in the story. A very worthwhile read.
