Author Biography

Pat has had a love affair with the written word since childhood, many times immersing herself in the stories of Enid Blyton and Carolyn Keene. Her active imagination gave inspiration to short stories and her first play as a teen.

As an adult she has penned an award winning short story titled “The Battle.” Another story, “A Precious Glimpse in Time” has been published in an anthology. Her full-length play, “The Truth About Lies”, was staged at a theatrical festival competition in 2006. Pat was selected as one of "50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading" contest in 2012 and her second novel, Destiny's Present was a finalist in the Reader's Favorite 2013 International Book Award contest in the fantasy fiction category.

Although still in pursuit of a place truly called home, Pat currently lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband and three cats, all of which claim rule over the house at one point or another.

When her nose isn’t pressed to the laptop monitor, you can find her at the public library. Besides dreaming up her next novel, Pat also enjoys traveling, baking, camping, wine, and of course reading – not necessarily in that order.

"Destiny's Past" is a book about time travel and the magic powers held by the female line in a certain family that uses this power for good. Kelly, a medical examiner, finds herself caught up in a mystery of time travel and discovers she is a descendant of a very special family of women.

Patricia C Lee's new book, "Destiny's Past", is a fascinating mystery. It stars when Kelly is about to perform an autopsy and realizes the corpse is still breathing! Next she finds out the corpse, Jarek, is from 2000 years in the past. Kelly must then use her medical expertise to save Jarek's life and answer the question, how did he travel to the future and why?

"Destiny's Past" is fast-paced and involves the wild romance of Kelly and Jarek. Kelly is not sure she wants to get involved but can't resist the handsome stranger from a different time. This is a wonderful and sometimes steamy paranormal romance you won't want to miss!

Paranormal Romance Guild

"The love affair between Jarek and Kelly is wonderful, and many of the things Jarek discovers are very funny. There is also a mystery as to who was poisoning Jarek, and if he can return in time to save his brother. This was such an interesting book, I didn't want to put it down, and I didn't. There is love, betrayal, mystery and paranormal, what more can you ask for. This was book one and I can't wait for book two." - Linda Tonis

"The flow of the story was very well planned; I didn’t want to stop reading! I loved the characters; each one had heart and their own voice. However what really stuck out for me was that while I was reading I could really picture the places the story was set in and I could clearly picture the characters. Patricia’s use of description for me helped bring this brilliant story to life."

"Lee's first book of the Daughters of the Crescent Moon Trilogy is an intriguing time-travel with magic, attempted murder, a mystery solved and a story to be enjoyable journey into the land of what-if and make-believe."

"I really enjoyed reading this book. The heroine's strong, the hero's sexy, and there's enough action that I just had to finish it in one day. "

Kate McKeever -

"I've finished the book but it lingers. When I started reading Destiny's Past, I thought it intriguing and interesting. As I read more, I found it was a story that stays with you. The hero and heroine have real problems, maybe not ones we encounter every day. I mean, who encounters a dead body that isn't really dead in your job? And traveling through time? Well, maybe not problems we can relate to, but problems that cause real change for both characters. The author weaves a tale of two very different people who are drawn together by circumstance and learn to trust each other, to love and to sacrifice for the other. Who can ask for more?"

CindyYoung-Turner - Amazo

"This was a fun, quick read. Kelly Richards is a medical examiner whose carefully ordered world is turned upside down when Jarek, a prince from two thousand years in the past, comes into her life. At first Jarek needs Kelly to heal him, but the more time they spend together the more they both need each other. I like the way their relationship developed. Kelly's strong facade hides a lot of pain, and coming to terms with that pain is part of her journey in this book. Vanessa and Narena add some interesting secondary characters, as does Jarek's twin brother. There was enough intrigue and suspense to make it hard to put the book down and I zipped right through it. I will be waiting for the sequel to find out what's in store next. "

"On a hot summer day I was in need of something to read. Something that would capture my attention so I could ignore the screaming grandchildren.

Destiny's Past accomplished that feat--amazing in itself.

Straight-laced Kelly Richards, Medical Examiner, runs headlong into a paranormal world where magic resides. Jarek is our hero, a dead man who claims he's from another world--a prince in fact, of Leisos, a magical world where he rules.

Since this is a paranormal romance, time-traveling duo, you know what happens next. One look into his eyes and Kelly falls in love--or lust--whatever it is, the pull Jarek has on her soul is overwhelming.

However, someone is trying to kill Jarek so he has to travel forward into the future to find a cure. Then, he'll have to travel back into the past to find out who the traitor is.

In the meantime, Jarek has to decide what he wants more. His life or Kelly, the woman of his dreams.

Lee is a fluid writer who manages to pull off a time-travel novel without leaving threads behind. (Except the few that will lead to the sequel.) It's a quick read and very enjoyable.

I highly recommend it to those with a love of the fantasy/paranormal!

"A great read that sucks you in page by page. The author manages to describe and develop characters and scenes while moving right along so your turning pages as fast as you can read them. I love that you're not left completely hanging at the end of this first book of what is to be a trilogy. I'll be pre-ordering my copy of book #2!"

"Follow Kelly Richards, Medical Examiner, as she flees from her personal demons into a strange and compelling world where magic and reality collide. From what has to be one of the most original introductions of a "leading man" to the last lovely page, I was caught up in the mystery and romance of this novel. Waiting for the sequel! "

Kathy -

"this book just grabbed my interest from the start , you have a girl named kelly who preforms autopsy and discovers a man that seems dead which he is not but instead he is from the past, I don' t want to say too much about the story but it is a great read and I am very excited about reading the 2nd book when it comes out, and a extra note this book was very hard for me to put down and I read it in one day. A must read book and to the author I would like to say great writing"

Page Turner -

"The first chapter drew me in, the rest of the story kept me. Loved the contrast between Kelly's scientific ideals and Jarek's magical world. He is a great hero, that you will fall in love with. If only he had a brother. Oh wait, he does! Destiny's Past is a time travel story without the cliche of the people adapting right away. These two definitely have to deal with the changes they come across. I wanted to know more about Jarek's world, it sounds like a medieval magical kingdom. Patricia Lee left many 'lines in the water', no idea where the sequel is headed, but I know it's going to be good! Highly recommend."

Debbie from Idaho - Amazo

"Patricia Lee did an awesome job getting you involved in all of the characters by her very descriptive writing. For her first book I am truly impressed with her writing abilities. I can hardly wait for the sequel and reading more about Kelly and her ability to be an empath and her ongoing romantic relationship with Jarek. I am also extremely curious if there will be more time traveling. The author did a great job setting up the next book in the series, which I know will be a page turner like Destiny's Past"
