Devil's Night by Thomas Stacey is a young adult horror story. In 1960s Detroit, it’s Devil’s Night or Halloween Eve, and a group of teenagers is planning a prank. A scarecrow hanging on an expressway overpass sets in motion a chain of events that will change lives forever. The gang is led by Georgie Kolpacki whose family life and poor background have led to deep paranoia and the need for revenge. One target is Rosemary Lesko and a tragic event turns her family’s lives upside down. Her Aunt Anna is a spinster who suddenly falls for a bar owner, while Lucifer, a Doberman Pinscher, provides Georgie with a battle he wasn’t planning on fighting. Just one night of supposed fun had far-reaching effects on everyone, and those involved would never be the same again.
