Dinosaur Lake IV: Dinosaur Wars by Kathryn Meyer Griffith is the final book in an epic series. Henry Shore, Chief Park Ranger of Crater Lake National Park has been fighting dinosaurs for seven years and now the infestation is appearing all over the world. The fight is on and the war is very real. The dinosaurs are mutating into dangerous and clever creatures and one is cleverer than the rest. One small, simian/monkey-like dinosaur tries to warn Henry and his family about the oncoming onslaught, but is it enough to prepare them for what they and the rest of the world are about to face? Lives are in danger everywhere, friends will be lost, and others will be changed forever as Henry tries to find a way to rid the world of the prehistoric infestation. Will he be successful?
Dinosaur Lake IV: Dinosaur Wars by Katherine Meyer Griffith is a cracking finale to what has been one of the best series I have read in a long time. The action is unprecedented, starting on page one and never slowing down until the very end. Like all the other books that led to this one, I couldn’t put it down, eyes glued to the pages until there was no more to read. The character development is ramped up and the lives of the main protagonists are laid bare. Ms. Griffith writes in a very descriptive style, in a way that allows a reader to be transported into the story, to feel the fear, the excitement and every one of the many emotions that roll through this story. A fantastic book and a fantastic series – don’t try to read this as a once-off because it just won’t work. Start at the beginning and settle in for a rollercoaster ride that will leave you breathless.
