In Disbelief: A Third Emily Graham Adventure by J.B. Jamison, Emily Graham finds herself once again in the middle of a fight with an unrelenting adversary, with people who will stop at nothing to reclaim control of their group by any means necessary, including taking out some of their own. Emily has always been a firm believer in right and wrong, but her protective nature and quick-witted responses have a knack of getting her into trouble with those who are above her. Some members of the group view Emily as a threat while others think she could prove to be a useful asset, that is if they can get her to join them. How will Emily’s belief in protecting and serving hold up against this group? Will she submit herself to them, bow down and join them ... or stand against them to protect everything she has so fervently believed in? Will Emily’s beliefs be altered forever as she tries to maintain peace and order or will this group prove to be too much for her?
I loved Disbelief by J.B. Jamison. The plot is deep and twisted with crime and treachery, keeping the reader turning the pages to see what happens next as Jamison guides them through the underbelly of organized crime and internal espionage. The characters are very well developed with unique personalities that are believable. I loved Emily Graham, the main character in Disbelief, and how intelligent, sharp and protective she is. I recommend Disbelief to anyone who loves a great crime novel that has plenty of action, sabotage, mystery, suspense, and betrayal.
