Drop Dead Handsome (The Painted Lady Inn Mysteries) by M.K. Scott is a wonderful murder mystery for cozy mystery buffs. Donna has finally fulfilled her dream of opening her own Bed and Breakfast. She has taken her brother Daniel's suggestion and offered a high school reunion package to her classmates. Unfortunately, the ones that make the reservations and arrive are the ones that Donna never wished to see again, much less entertain as guests in her new establishment. She now has to open her home to the three people who made her life difficult in high school. The prima-donna cheerleader and her egotistical boyfriend and the nerdy guy who wrote her love poems aren't the only ones. She also has a man who believes he is Father Christmas, a squabbling married couple, and an elderly armchair sleuth staying with her. To make her weekend even better, one of her guests is murdered. Will this be the end of her dream?
Drop Dead Handsome (The Painted Lady Inn Mysteries) by M.K. Scott is an enjoyable cozy mystery. It was amusing to watch Donna chase herself trying to keep up with her guests and yet at the same time stay out of their way. I also was impressed with the authenticity of the reality of running a Bed and Breakfast. The recipes at the end of the book are inspired and worth a try in the kitchen. This is a book that encourages readers to curl up in a chair with a hot beverage, and be amused by a crime-solving sleuth in a satirical episode. I enjoyed this fun and amusing book. I recommend it for those of any age who love reading amateur sleuth mysteries.
