Easter is a time to celebrate life and the new arrival of spring. So when Lucy Stone takes her grandson to the annual Easter egg hunt in Pine Point, she is stunned to find no eggs on the beautiful Van Vorst estate lawns. It gets even worse when the Easter bunny stumbles out the door with a basket of eggs, only to drop dead right in front of the crowd. Stunned, Lucy Stone’s reporter instincts take over. Why would the grandson of one of the most prestigious family in town suddenly die? It just didn’t make sense. The man was in perfect health – his girlfriend claimed he was just given a clean bill of health from his doctor. Now Lucy decides to do her own investigation into what she fears to be a crime and enters the grand estate under the guise of kitchen help. But what she finds in the mansion is chilling. What exactly is going on and who is targeting the family? Lucy grows determined to find out the truth herself.

"Easter Bunny Murder" by Leslie Meier is a fun mystery with sleuth reporter Lucy Stone at the helm. This easy flowing tale has interesting characters and takes a closer peek behind the mansion’s walls. The Easter theme is different and unique and so are the diverse characters. Another big plus is that this book wraps up with some Easter tips and recipes for the holiday. A good read by a talented author.
