Elephant’s Jungle Tune by Doug Beisley is about an elephant that accidentally started a jungle tune. Of course, the elephant did not mean to do that, but his big round feet created a 'stomp stomp stomp' sound as he walked along the jungle floor. The more he stomped, the more the jungle came to life with many different sounds from other animals nearby, from crunching leaves, swinging vines, and even tapping coconuts! With so many animals starting a beat, before you know it, a harmony is formed. Follow the elephant as he journeys through the jungle with a catchy tune that will have you singing along with the animals of the jungle.

Elephant’s Jungle Tune by Doug Beisly is a short and fun picture book with catchy rhymes, creating an exciting beat to the text. The illustrations are expressive, which suits the mood of the storyline perfectly. I also liked how the typography of the sounds reflects the sounds in real life, giving it a vibrant feel. It is fantastic that it also teaches children about the different animals in the jungle through its captivating tale, making it an educational read for younger audiences. This story shows that music can come from anywhere, and a combination of various beats can form a wonderful harmony. This is a unique take on a picture book, and I can see children and adults falling in love with its lively and captivating plot.
