Ethan in the Kingdom of the Toothbrushes, written by Yael Manor and illustrated by Anahit Aleqsanyan, is the second book in the twins series and this is one that is sure to delight your child. Emma loves to brush her teeth and she brushes her teeth every morning and every night. However, Emma’s twin brother Ethan does not like to brush his teeth and he has a tantrum each time he is supposed to brush his teeth. One night Ethan has an awful dream that he is all alone in a forest with a lot of toothbrushes. The next morning when Ethan wakes up he must make a decision about brushing his teeth now. Has he changed his mind about brushing his teeth?
Yael Manor does an excellent job with Ethan in the Kingdom of the Toothbrushes as it is informative and entertaining. The side effects of not brushing your teeth are shared in the story as well, including the fact that bacteria stays on them and having stinky breath. This book is a good resource to use in teaching the importance of dental hygiene in a fun way that is also on a child’s level. Also, Anahit Aleqsanyan’s illustrations are wonderful and jump right off the page at young readers and will be enjoyed by children.
