Everybody's Body: A Body Positive Picture Book For Children by Tracey Rimell is a children's picture book that encourages acceptance. Everyone is different and that's how it should be because if all people were the same, life would be pretty boring. If you have a child who struggles with body image or even if they use hurtful words toward another person because of how they look, then sit them down and read this beautifully-written book with them, as it will surely change their perspective.
Everybody's Body was a pleasure to read. I love reading stories that celebrate people's differences, especially when the book is aimed at children, as I feel it's important for them to learn from a young age that no one is the same, nor should they be. I also liked the way that the author mentioned how people look in magazines and on social media as that is still one of the main causes of body shaming that could ultimately lead to health issues. The content is written simply to allow children to follow along easily and the illustrations are fun, colorful, and creative. They will attract children's attention from the very first page. I recommend this book for children of all ages as I believe age is just a number when it comes to teaching important life lessons. As well as learning from it, children will also be entertained. I hope to see more from Tracey Rimell in the future and wish her all the best. Keep writing and good work!
