Fallen Desire is a work of fiction in the urban fantasy genre and serves as a sequel to Fallen Love. It is suitable for the general reading audience and was penned by author Alex Stargazer. The book follows the journey of a man named Mark who has been thrown into the depths of Hell and must learn to survive if he is to find his way out again. But when every denizen of the realm is well versed in lying and backstabbing, and the one who rules over it is the original master of trickery and deceit, how can anyone truly form a lasting alliance?
Fallen Desire certainly has it all: romance, mystery, even political intrigue amongst the residents of Hell. This is a world with a complex plot and well-devised lore that surrounds an exciting story about love and the nature of evil. Author Alex Stargazer has created a memorable and dynamic vision of Lucifer, who is undeniably an evil presence but is allowed moments of sympathy that toy with the audience's hope that he will become a redeemable figure as the story develops. The other lead characters such as Mark himself, his lost love Conall, and the witch Kaylin were all strongly characterized and served as the perfect fresh set of eyes through which the audience could explore Hell. The prose in this densely packed story prevents it from becoming overwhelming for readers. Fallen Desire is an excellent example of a balance between huge worlds, rollercoaster storytelling, and remarkably human motivations at the center of it all. I’d absolutely recommend Fallen Desire to all fantasy fans.
