Sophia Frazier grew up in the small town of Mitchell, IN then married and moved to an even smaller town, Heltonville, IN. She and her husband of 30 years, Rick enjoy the rural life.
The book Family Legends: From a Lawrence County, Indiana Family was created primarily to preserve stories for Rick and Sophia's son, Ryan. Both Rick and Sophia had grown up hearing various stories from the 'old-timers' in their families. Sophia decided to preserve them so that those stories would not be lost to others that came after them.
Sophia continues to write as the ideas flow. She currently has several published books in multiple genres.

Family Legends: From a Lawrence County, Indiana Family by Sophia Frazier is a very inspiring book about passing on the family details, history, and moments shared to the next generation of family members, friends, and all those who are associated with that particular family. Many stories are passed down orally, many are shared through letters and writings, and many stories are recorded so that the experiences remain etched in their minds. This book has some lovely stories and memories for readers to enjoy and cherish.
The book is the perfect gift to those who are associated with that particular family because it is joyful for them to read and refresh many incidents. The humor and the episodes keep readers entertained and the memories alive. The author has created an interesting concept with a book like this where the family memories are captured for eternity. It is a very interesting way of passing down your stories to the next generation, your friends, and all those who shared their life with you and your family. The youngsters will have an exact idea of what has happened before they were born and also when they were small.
I thought this book was unique and the author's idea of bringing out such a book is very original. The black and white sketches also add to the appeal of the book and they give life to the characters and the incidents.
