Fated by Adeline Bryant is not your typical werewolf romance story. Fated follows a group of young werewolves who are each about to step into their respective roles of power and face the harsh reality that comes along with it. As I read the story, I watched as Lena, Caleb, and Kai were thrust into a storm of chaos and difficult decisions. Caleb is faced with the responsibility of leading his pack into the future, but he can’t stop worrying that he is leading them to their end. Lena grapples with the harsh reality of the fact that her fated mate will never be able to let her fully into his heart. Kai has spent most of his life planning a future with his chosen mate Ava, and he resents the Moon Goddess for interfering and sending him a fated mate.
I loved the refreshing depth of the story that Adeline Bryant created in Fated. While reading, I found myself immersed in a story that spoke to so many levels of humanity. The author wrote beautiful characters, and I especially connected with Lena as she begins to drown in grief from doing everything and still not feeling like it's enough. The fast pace of the story matched the way I felt when anxiously turning the pages to see whether Lena, Kai, or Caleb could guide each other to a brighter future, or if their stubbornness would ultimately get in the way. Fated: A Bonded Legacy Novel is a captivating story about the grief of making the right decision.
