The ocean is not only a way to cool off on a hot summer's day or a place to surf or swim but it's a part of something bigger. It is an ecosystem that is home to many marine mammals that live deep within its belly. Let your child dream, board the magic bus, and embark on a beautiful journey with Finn and his toy octopus Fred in Finn and Fred's Arctic Adventure by Jocelyn Porter. With the striking and colorful illustrations, your child will be mesmerized as they experience the different mammals that live there - from the seal, polar bear, and walrus to the variety of whales. Not only will your children enjoy this story but they will learn that by playing their part they can make a difference in the impact of climate change. If we don't act now the ocean's ecosystem will not only negatively influence the lives of the sea mammals but the world.
Finn and Fred's Arctic Adventure by Jocelyn Porter, with illustrations by Leo Brown, is a wonderful book that should be read by every child. I appreciated how Jocelyn added other things for children to enjoy throughout the book like seeing the snow owl, the reflections of the northern lights against the icebergs, and displaying the importance of listening and adhering to the words of wisdom as provided by the owl. Let's not forget that if we don't recycle, minimize vehicle emissions, and invest in energy-efficient appliances the Arctic will soon disappear and never be the same again. By purchasing this book, all or parts of the proceeds will go to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary. Make a difference to the climate today. Highly recommended.
