Sometimes the people who seem the most guarded are the ones with the heaviest history, and in For You Always by Hannah Jordan, Cammie knows that better than anyone. She left her hometown in search of a fresh start and happened upon Peace Falls, where she’s slowly rebuilding her life after years of pain and trauma. She keeps most people at arm’s length, especially men, and focuses on her jobs, her routines, and the small-town world she created for herself. Everything becomes more complicated when she is forced to move into the apartment of one of her friends, where Wyatt, the co-worker she’s attracted to, also lives. He’s patient, caring, and determined to break through the walls Cammie has built around herself. However, both are holding onto emotional baggage that refuses to stay buried. Old dangers, family issues, and personal fears begin to creep into the sense of safety they’ve created in their apartment. Will Cammie and Wyatt share their stories? Can two souls who have spent so long protecting themselves finally allow someone else in?

I really enjoyed For You Always by Hannah Jordan. There’s a nice blend of fun, romance, and real-life struggles. The chemistry between Cammie and Wyatt is my favorite part. They started as friends and roommates, but over time their connection grew deeper. He was definitely the yin to her yang. Cammie’s past made her understandably guarded, and Wyatt’s patience and steady support made him easy to root for. I also appreciated hearing the story from both of their perspectives. The writing was smooth, the dialogue felt real, and the tidbits of Spanish gave the story a little something extra. There was enough tension to keep me turning the pages, but it was the quiet moments that really stood out, like when Wyatt and Cammie ate dinner together. Readers looking for a heartfelt small-town romance with strong chemistry between its characters and meaningful personal growth will want to read it.
