In a little town in northern France live one dog, two parrots and one master. Their days are filled with walking in the gardens and looking for fruit in the orchard. The two parrots, Gregorie and Birdie, loved riding on the back of their doggie friend, Gaston. On a summer night at the beach, Gregorie thinks he sees a big shiny peach in the ocean, because, of course, Gregorie loves peaches. As the two parrots were playing with their motor boats Mr. Marceau gave them, Gregorie wanted to get to the 'big peach' so he rode out to the big orange ball, and he just couldn’t stop yelling ‘Peaches! Peaches!’ But then his boat stopped and he couldn’t get it started again! Why did Gregorie always get into trouble? Will his master and Gaston come to the rescue?

Fun! Fun!: A Dog. Two Parrots. And The Moon is yet another book in Scott Ferrell’s warm and wonderful series about these quirky pets and their special master. This time the fun was reading about this unique family while they were on vacation at the beach. As I read the story, I had fun imagining these little parrots in small motor boats buzzing around the huge ocean. And later driving out to sea for Gregorie to pick up that great big orange ball he thought was a peach! I love the way these stories sound so realistic and true. If you haven’t yet read one of Jackie and Scott Ferrell’s books, you are truly missing a big treat. Through Mr. Ferrell’s unique and amazing talent, he creates pictures that bring the story to life as you read. And the most amazing thing I find with the illustrations is that they are created in a way to take up very little space on your e-reader. Together, Jackie Ferrell and her awesome talent in writing warm hearted family stories, and Scott Ferrell and his amazingly talented hand in creating graphics that go so well with the stories bring young readers a series of books that will be classics for years to come.
