The story revolves around Gigglet, the happiest piglet in the land, who has an adorable smile and a cheerful laugh. She spends most of her time giggling in her soft and comfortable hay, but today she is excited to go to school and would love it if you joined her. Throughout the day, Gigglet has fun scribbling, drawing a sundae, and ballet dancing in her pink tutu. She also enjoys eating yummy food and taking an afternoon nap during lunchtime. After school, Gigglet enjoys walking back home through a field of flowers and the joy of reuniting with her mother. Gigglet the Happy Little Piglet Goes to School is an illustrated children's book by A. M. Berkowitz. Gigglet is a very happy piglet who loves to talk about her incredible adventures with everybody who will listen. She loves playing at school and learning fun new things to do. Gigglet enjoys art class very much and uses the prettiest colors she can find to make wonderful pictures. She also loves to dance and express herself on stage. When lunchtime comes, Gigglet is excited to see what is in her lunch box each day. With a full stomach, she happily lies down for her nap. When school is over, she plays with all the beautiful flowers on her way home. When Gigglet sees her mother smiling and waiting for her, Gigglet is overjoyed and cannot wait to share the details of her amazing day. When the sun goes down, Gigglet and her mother sleep until the sun shines the next morning and it is time to go to school again.

This is most definitely one of the most upbeat and happy books I have read in some time. Gigglet the Happy Little Piglet Goes to School teaches children about the wonders and joys of what lies ahead of them when they reach school age. Some children can be quite afraid of new things, making new friends, meeting new adults, and interacting with others in a way that they would not be able to do at home. Gigglet is so happy, and I feel that many young readers will benefit from reading about someone who has such an enthusiastic outlook on school. Gigglet's favorite activities are art and the performing arts, allowing her to express herself amazingly and uniquely. A. M. Berkowitz offers a fun new way for children to see their school years. I believe that all home libraries with young children will most definitely benefit from this book.

This book was very sweet. Gigglet is such a cute name for a piglet I'm surprised no one has thought of it yet. I loved the illustrations and my 3 year old enjoyed the repetition of the words like "swish, swish, swish" and 'swash, swash, swash". We're adding this to our rotation of night time reads.

I'm not sure whether it's the repeated words or the bright, colorful, multi-dimensional illustrations that go along with the story, but these books are super fun. There is so much to see and find and identify in every illustration. The repeated words are fun and help with practicing sounds. Just really great little children's books.
