Got You by Erik Therme revolves around Leah Chapman, a woman grappling with her half-sister Amanda's sudden death. Right before Amanda's passing, she confides in Leah that her young son (Drew) is in danger. Before long, Leah's life is pulled into a roller-coaster ride of a murder mystery, which is cloaked in secrets and peril. Amanda's death pushes Leah to address the bond with her estranged father (Damon), whose double life led to an affair that produced Amanda. Further probing leads Leah to stumble upon shocking details about Amanda's life before her death. As Leah begins to unravel the deceptions hidden in Amanda’s past, it becomes evident that someone is watching her from behind the scenes, intending to harm her if necessary. Can Leah confront the secrets in her family's past and bring closure to Amanda's death?

Got You is a thrilling story that explores themes such as grief, guilt, family drama, and the main character's responsibility toward her family. The novel offers psychological suspense filled with deeply human moments, making it easy for readers to empathize with Leah's life while keeping us on edge. Erik Therme's writing style is fast-moving and convincing. He also takes the time to show how each character feels and the reasoning behind their actions. At the same time, the book invites moments of personal conflict that make it feel genuine. As Leah gets closer to learning the truth about Amanda's life and death, the novel touches on ideas like accountability and finding peace, which increase its emotional appeal. Got You is an intense thriller and mystery that perfectly captures how people heal after experiencing loss. Very highly recommended.
