Hagar’s Well by Scott R Harpole is a memorable story of three seemingly invisible women in whom God saw great potential. These three women suffered society’s judgment and ridicule and knew what it was like to be unwanted and rejected. After Hagar, the Egyptian slave sold to Sarai and Abram, runs away after cruel treatment from Sarai, she experiences God’s love firsthand. Hagar became so moved that she named a well after Him. In the Samaritan woman’s case, we learn a valuable lesson: that status and power do not matter to the Lord, and that one's sin is never too great to be forgiven. Mary Magdalene, the woman who had seven demons cast out of her, was a devout follower of Jesus whom Jesus welcomed with loving arms. Jesus’ very purpose was and still is to save the troubled and weary, so, who are we to judge?

Inspiring and deeply moving, Hagar’s Well: The God Who Sees Invisible People leaves readers with a warm feeling, knowing that the Lord’s love is not intended only for a select few but for each one of us. This knowledge alone is enough to make one contemplate life and start anew. Scott R Harpole’s engaging writing style and sense of humor are delightful and entertaining; what a great storyteller he is! His compelling writing has stirred in me a need to read the rest of his works, which hopefully will be just as thought-provoking and memorable as Hagar’s Well. This book is for everyone who has ever felt lost, depressed, and fed up with the world’s cruelty. Jesus is awaiting your arrival and acceptance with open arms.
