The protagonist Monica Kittelski seems to have it all together. She's beautiful, loves her job of running a successful daycare business, and also teaches dance at her local community center. Like so many young women she longs for a family of her own, but believes that that dream is out of reach. When she meets Jeremy Edwards(JB), the uncle of one of her daycare students, their hearts seem to connect immediately. They seem to have so much in common and want the same things from life, making JB hope that they can have a future together, but Monica has a secret that keeps her from allowing anyone to get too close. Will the secret that Monica harbors keep them from having a future together?

I must admit the cover of this book was what initially drew me to this story, but once I started reading I really couldn't put it down. I always find it amazing when an author is able to create characters with such realism that you feel as if they could actually be someone you know, and that's exactly what the author does in this story.

Monica was so easy to connect with, and her feelings and actions were so honest and easy to understand. The relationship between JB and Monica was electric, and I loved the banter between them. JB was someone every girl longs to meet; he was kind, caring, successful and allowed his faith to really shine through.I also enjoy when an author writes a dog into the story and with this one we have Toby, Monica's chocolate lab. I think the author does an outstanding job of giving us a story with real life struggles, romance and faith to produce a story that kept me turning the pages to see how things would turn out.

Marianne Evans is a new author to me whose writing style really pulled me in with this story. I loved that she could allow us to feel the sparks between the main characters but also keep the romance clean. I will certainly be looking for more of Ms. Evans' works. Highly recommended!

I love this author, and have yet to be disappointed in any of her books.
