Honor Bound by Athena Ryals is Book 1 in a new dystopian series. At long last, the war against the syndicates has come to an end and the survivors know they must keep out of the way – if they don’t, they risk death, preceded by horrific torture. Isaac has spent his life training to fight and the last six years have been spent striking back at those who ruined his life – the syndicate families. Broken by them, he travels the country with his friends, heaping sabotage on the syndicate ruling the region – the Stormbecks. The youngest member of the clan, Sam, is kidnapped by the Stormbecks' son and subjected to torture and Isaac will do whatever it takes to rescue him. And so he and his friend set out on a mission that will change their lives, a mission to rescue Sam but Isaac has a tough choice to make, one that will destroy their lives forever.
Honor Bound: Book 1 by Athena Ryals is a breathtaking dystopian story of friendship and revenge. First a warning – if you are offended by strong language, violence, and sexual content, this book is not for you. It is graphic in places but the content fits the story perfectly. It is a story of emotion, a story that explores our limits, how we react to situations and it’s a story of friendship. The characters are amazing, real people that you can truly relate to in a strange world with an incredibly strong antagonist. I defy anyone not to be drawn in by this story with its unique plot and action all the way. Whether you like dystopian novels or not, if you can handle the graphic scenes, you are going to love this book.
