Self-discovery is a path that has many challenges but is worth everything in the end. Charles J. Orlando explores multiple aspects of this journey in Hope and Luna. Hope is a woman working her way through life's phases of personal relationships and the value of herself. As her relationship with herself evolves, Luna, her diary, is there every step of the way. Luna echoes Hope's deep thoughts and feelings. Hope acknowledges her weaknesses and negative choice patterns as she dives deeper into self-reflection and growth. Hope's journey has something for every woman to connect with, especially if you have ever searched for affirmation and connection outside yourself first. Learn from others' mistakes. Ruminate with Hope and gain inspiration from Luna as they blossom.

Charles J. Orlando does an excellent job of outlining a journey of inner self-discovery in Hope and Luna. He highlights the importance of establishing a deep self-love using Luna, the journal, as an example that no one can understand us better than ourselves. He also outlines a pathway to self-forgiveness. As Hope experienced different challenges in the phases of her life, I began my self-reflection. I love the theme that people in your life should enrich, enhance, support, and give constructive guidance. Those who care about you do not tell you what you want to hear but what you need to hear, as did her oldest friend Nikki, and her newest friend Maya. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy self-help, motivational, and women's books.
