In his memoir, I Am Not Ashamed of Christ: Personal Testimonies of a Christian, Dr. Robert Peprah-Gyamfi describes what he associates with life before and after adopting Christian beliefs in his personal writing. He links John 1:43–51 to his history and recounts birth and early medical issues in rural Ghana. He talks about secondary education and how a student's death and a Methodist hymn caused him to think about Christian commitment and prayer practices. The author discusses his medical studies in Ghana and later travels to Germany. Financial barriers in his medical studies are assisted through the American Lutheran Church in Berlin, the clergy, and their contacts. Later, the events following a fateful night led to a final public declaration of his Christian identity.

In I Am Not Ashamed of Christ, Dr. Robert Peprah-Gyamf shares his experiences of illness, accidents, dreams, and other unexpected events in which he prayed and verbally rejected spiritual opposition, reporting lasting protection and healing. He describes how these experiences confirmed his faith and shaped his approach to life, presenting them as evidence of God’s presence and care. The book details moments in which prayer was central, including various episodes in Ghana, Germany, and the United Kingdom, showing the ways his beliefs were all evidenced and linked to very real circumstances. Readers will encounter a testimony grounded in spiritual experience. This account offers affirmation for those looking to the role of prayer and faith in guiding, protecting, and sustaining a believer.
