I Love Nanny is a work of fiction in the family and mindfulness subgenres. It is lovingly crafted as a picture book for children and was penned by author C. Géraldine with illustrations by artist M. Corà. In this charming work, the author celebrates all Nans, Nannies, Grandmothers, and Grammas of the world by inviting young readers to walk with them on a calming journey whilst sharing special moments with Nanny. Beautiful illustrations and soothing rhymes take readers on a journey with a pair of brightly animated rabbit characters as Nanny shows her young grandchild different aspects of the world, from being out in nature to traveling, cooking, and how to comfort someone when things go wrong.

Author C. Géraldine offers her readers a really special experience in this book, where I could easily imagine grandmothers and their grandchildren reading this together to reminisce about things they already do together, and perhaps get some great new ideas about how to spend calm and mindful time together too. The illustrations by artist M. Corà are vibrant but not overwhelming, and the softly drawn, colorful images have a lot of adorable details for kids to lose themselves in without racing onto the next page at speed. The work has a unique sense of serenity about it compared to many picture books, and I’d certainly recommend it for bedtime and quiet reading time in general when calm is required. Overall, I Love Nanny is a book that will steal your heart and no doubt earn a treasured place on the shelves of grandchildren everywhere.
