An unearthly evil melding with uncontrolled lust creates a terrifying beast that stalks the innocent in the electrifying supernatural thriller, In the Shadow of Porter's Hollow by Yvonne Schuchart. Thirty years ago a traumatizing incident drove Laura Evans' mother to pack up their belongings and move to Pennsylvania, leaving Laura's father and their past behind them. No one had seen or heard from him since. One stormy night, several decades later, Laura receives a strange phone call from him, but due to the storm the connection is lost. Concerned for his well-being, Laura returns to her childhood home in North Carolina to find him. In her search for him, allusions to the unsettling legends of Porter's Hollow keep coming up, but she tries to dismiss them as superstitions, and inconsequential. Confronted with unnatural and inexplicable events, Laura resolves to find answers. Is her father a captive of something sinister? How does his disappearance connect with the legends of monstrous creatures stalking the mountainside?
