Book one of the One United series, inDIVISIBLE by Robyn Heirtzler, tells the story of Brynn, who has to learn to deal with the fact that the government she trusted had been spying on her family, and wants her dead. To keep her mother safe, Brynn decides to run away and find answers to the many questions a certain shocking event in her life created. Fortunately, Brynn finds some support in a boy who had been part of her life before. T and Brynn need to run for their lives, leaving family and safety behind. But what chance do two teenagers have against the all-powerful government that seems to have eyes and ears everywhere?

Robyn Heirtzler tells a grim tale in inDIVISIBLE, but of course there are moments of hope. Otherwise readers would end up being depressed at the end of the first book in the series. And the hope that is given throughout the story is what will make readers continue on with the series after reading the first book. At least I know that I would probably read the second book if it crossed my path. I have to admit that I did not quite like Brynn for some reason. She just seems a little annoying to me personally, but I still enjoyed following her progress through the story and learning about how the characters found solutions. The writing is good, the plot interesting, and there is potential for the quality to go from good to great. Definitely worth a read for people who like young adult literature with a bit of darkness in it.
