The mind is an amazingly powerful organ. It controls all our actions and emotions. But, what many people don’t understand, is that the mind also controls our destiny. If our minds are full of “stinking thinking,” negative thoughts, we will limit our abilities. But, when our reason is full of hope and positivity, we can accomplish almost anything. Kennedy Malveaux knows this theory and showcases it in Izzie’s Incredible Imagination. This book, written by the pre-teen Kennedy, shows that if we think we can do something, we can. It is a book of self-affirmation. Izzie uses her imagination to see herself as the incredible person she is. Children need to learn how powerful the mind is and develop a positive mindset. This book will lead them to become all they can be.
If you ask a person if they are ill and several others ask the same question, then soon that person will start to feel sick. That is because the mind is powerful. One’s mindset controls how one responds to all the stimuli one faces every day. Ask any doctor, and they will tell you that many people in the hospital are there because they have thought themselves ill. As parents, it is our job to teach our children how to think positively. Izzie has learned that secret and uses her imagination to ponder the future. She realizes that she can be anything she wants to be. In Kennedy Malveaux’s book, Izzie’s Incredible Imagination, Izzie uses self-affirmations to train her mind to recognize her abilities. She realizes that she is a great person destined for greatness. Sit down with your children and help them develop a capacity mindset instead of the negative thoughts that they can’t do something. Affirm your children and teach them to affirm themselves.
