Journey of the Lightworker: A Magical Journey to Authenticity, Self-Love, and Finding Life's True Purpose by Shari A. Hembree is a coming of age story of a young woman who realizes that living successfully and living happily are two very different things. Kyra had it all, she had a great career, she had a loving boyfriend and she had a luxurious home. She was content with her life although she wasn’t particularly satisfied with it and she wanted something else. She seems happy on the outside, but she isn’t inside. So when her life is turned upside down, she takes that as an opportunity to live a dream she'd had when she was young and realizes that by doing so, she is getting to know herself better. As she finds her love for her family and friends, she realizes that there is more to life when she knows her purpose.
Journey of the Lightworker by Shari A. Hembree is an enlightening story, very refreshing and calming; one that will make you stop and try to understand yourself better. Kyra is that kind of a character, she is universal and she makes it easy for you to form a connection. She is like that one friend in the world who you feel very comfortable with. Her journey is so beautiful, she tries her hardest to make something work, but she also listens to her heart. She knew that she needed to take a step for herself, her growth and her mental stability before anything else. The dialogues and the descriptions are so comforting; the narrative is like speaking to a friend who understands you the best. I felt calm after reading this, I felt at ease. This is a brilliant novel, especially for people who are facing a change in their life and want some reassurance.
