In KHDZ by David R. Beshears, John Smith mistakenly ends up working at a TV station called KHDZ. KHDZ is located in Hades and it broadcasts shows all day and night for Hades and the surrounding suburbs. He keeps meeting with the station manager, Mr. Henderson, who gives him the role of associate producer and tells him to relax and make himself comfortable just until his paperwork is fixed, but he is reluctant to get too comfortable, as he feels he doesn't belong there. While at KHDZ, he witnesses disturbing shows like "The Hot Seat" and other shows. The hostess of "Up All Night with Miss Constance" asks him to be the producer of her show, and he has no choice but to agree. He keeps waiting for his paperwork issues to be rectified, but will that happen? Can someone who ends up in Hades find their way out? Read KHDZ by David R. Beshears to find out.

KHDZ by David R. Beshears is set in a fictional TV station and expresses the frustrations of bureaucratic systems. It talks about how John ended up in hell by mistake, and rectifying the issue takes forever due to bad administration. The pace is fast, with scenes that are straight to the point and can be read as a screenplay. The plot is unique and engaging, although KHDZ has no real action, just dialogue and sadistic shows with some dark humor. I enjoyed John's optimism. The characters are all unique in their way, starting with John, who is confused by the world he finds himself in; Janice, who is very practical; Debbie, who is rumored to be Mr. Horn's daughter; and Mr. Henderson, the station manager, who has dry humor. The premise of TV stations and shows in Hades sounded absurd, but I found the book to be entertaining and hilarious. The themes are mainly dark humor, survival, power, and satire. I recommend this book mainly to adult readers who enjoy dark comedy, fantasy, and a plot with twists.
