Victoria has tried to rebuild her life after being involved in the murder investigation, but is constantly haunted by the fear that her past will eventually catch up with her. Victoria’s fears become reality when someone who knows her darkest secret begins stalking her. Detective Randy Ramirez from Scottsdale, Arizona, originally investigated Sutton’s case and suspected Victoria was withholding crucial information. Randy returns to town to investigate another homicide. Sutton’s case can be reopened, and Victoria finds herself in a desperate race against time to uncover the identity of the person determined to destroy her.
Bonnie Traymore kept me invested in Killer Secrets from beginning to end. The story was fast-paced but allowed enough time for me to process everything. Sensitive topics like trauma and guilt were handled with great care. The engaging writing held my attention throughout the story. I could not turn the pages fast enough, and it was difficult to put the book down. I had to know what would happen next. I could never have guessed right and was surprised every time. The characters were believable. Victoria is determined to keep her secret buried, and Randy is relentless in his pursuit of the truth. The book was expertly written, and the mystery unfolded naturally. I read throughout the night, and the book stayed with me long after I finished reading.
