Trenee Zweigle RN pens “pawfectly” intriguing tales about cats who meet to share their (nine) lives in her book Kitty Miracles At 7th Street Clubhouse. This “catlection” of short stories about cats, some being fun, some not so much, is the premise. Cats may be unpredictable, and this work presents their quirky side. Every feline is unique and has the potential for mischief. Zwiegle writes about kitties Pixie, Kali, Chip, Cupcake, and cohorts and their misadventures. Comments from their fur parents' perspectives are featured in the book.
The idea of a clubhouse where a cache of cats meets every week to share stories of their lives in this book is fanciful and a romp. Kitty Miracles at 7th Street Clubhouse presents the “pawsitive” side of the common cat. Or are they? Having just read “Chicken Soup for the Catlovers Soul,” this book was a treat. Being a longtime cat owner and cat lover, and highlighting the important values of friendship and love, Trenee Zweigle RN’s book reeled me in. It almost reminded me of the musical Cats (an all-time favorite) and its realistic characters, based on Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats poems by T.S. Eliot. Kitty Kartoons are fun and the point of view they have about their “parents” is a fun touch. I found enchanting the amazing cat facts I never knew, trivia, well-thought-out hilarious puns, and an abundance of cute pictures. The author did a lot of research into cat communication, which makes you wonder about these fur ball producers and frisky four-legged characters.
