I loved the collection of gluten-free recipes in Tamara Green’s Life After Gluten (A.G.): Vol 1. Breakfasts & Desserts. Tamara has covered a wide range of dishes, ensuring that there is something for everyone. The directions are easy to follow, with anecdotes at the beginning of some recipes to give them a more personal touch. The photographs of the finished dishes help a novice chef like me to imagine what the end product would look like and work toward that. I especially loved the story Mr. and Mrs. Monocot, narrated by Tamara, to explain why oats are gluten-free even if they’re from the same family as wheat. Tamara has also provided handy links, such as the one for gluten-free graham crackers in the recipe for Nanaimo bars, which will help in a seamless cooking experience.
