Little Miss Grubby Toes is always finding trouble and this time won’t be any different.

The illustrations are marvelous, full of color, and tell the story as well as the words. It’s written in a way that makes it easy to understand and there are several messages – never go swimming alone, especially when you can’t swim, always do as your mother tells you, and never ignore the warnings. Throughout the story, there are questions that make kids think about the consequences of certain actions. This is a great story, probably best read with the previous ones but easily read as a standalone story too. Eddie Price has a real talent here, not only turning out wonderful stories but talking directly to youngsters at the same time in a clear way that they can understand and relate to.

The illustrations are reflective of the actions and emotions of the characters and help move the story along. A great way to teach young readers the importance of rules and why they should listen when grownups tell them not to do something.
