Ember wakes up one morning to discover that she has no memories. While struggling to remember her past, Ember is plagued with blackouts and disturbing hallucinations in which everything is covered in blood. She leans on her friend Mason for comfort and stays with him and his Uncle Silas. Ember struggles with conflicting emotions, at times feeling inexplicably drawn to Mason and at other times having the strong urge to run away and never look back. Ember struggles to come to terms with what her life with Mason and Silas is becoming and she decides to flee. She encounters a group of vampire hunters who initially try to kill her, but then take her under their wing and try to help her understand what she is. Ember feels like she has found her family and a true sense of purpose. She continues to feel deeply connected to Mason, physically feeling the loss of his presence. Will Ember choose to stay with her newfound family, or go back to with Mason?

Lost in Legend by J. M. Palmer is a thrilling, supernatural tale that fans of Supernatural and The Twilight Saga will love. As a fan of all things supernatural, I thoroughly enjoyed devouring J. M. Palmer's Lost in Legend. Ember is a strong, fierce female who I found easy to identify and empathize with. The witty banter between Ember, Cassius, and Rick enriched the story. I was pleasantly surprised at the end, although I am anxiously awaiting the next installment in the Lost in Legend Series!
