Luna Elementum by T. Evelyn is an imaginative fantasy for young readers, blending themes of transformation, rebellion, and inner magic. We're with Nina, who stumbles upon a shimmering silver mirror and is transported to Mariana: a mystical realm of trolls, warring factions, and forgotten spells. But this is no dreamy escape. Transformed into one of the trolls herself, Nina must learn to survive and navigate a brewing conflict between oppressed rebels and ancient powers. Under the ominous glow of Mariana’s firemoons, Nina uncovers family secrets that challenge everything she believed. The journey is both outward and inward, as Nina grows into a figure of surprising strength and importance.

Author T. Evelyn writes with such a passion for the world she's created, and crafts a vivid, emotionally resonant place filled with enchanting detail and suspense everywhere you look. Nina’s journey of discovery is especially rewarding as she evolves from an unsure girl to an emerging leader, shaped by the hardships of the plot but never hardened by them. This light feeling makes Mariana both magical and morally complex, and the supporting cast of characters adds plenty of color, warmth, and challenge at every turn to keep the story fresh and exciting. Evelyn’s writing feels timeless, like the best classic fantasies, but also modern in its emotional depth and representation. Overall, Luna Elementum is an engaging portal fantasy that invites young readers to believe in their own power, even when the world feels unfamiliar and full of shadow, and I'd highly recommend it.
