Mexican Eskimo, Book 1: Exmikan by Anker Frankoni is a real trip that will take readers into the life of one human being who readily accepts whatever is offered in life without looking at the consequences that might happen. The book has adventure, myths, legends, happiness and sorrow that will pull the reader into the story. The book also has a lot of historical and geographical interests which make it a fascinating read. The author’s excellent command of language, writing style, and ritualistic depiction of the scenes in the book takes you on a ride of thoughts, visuals, emotions and feelings. Readers are also subjected to a range of emotions that cover anger, sadness, surprise, confusion and many more that will make them feel as if they are part of the narrator’s life.

The writing style is metaphorical and expressive and gives readers a sort of connectivity with the plot. Each chapter has a charm of its own and the book has spiritual undertones that give it another dimension. The story line is original and the many time periods visited by the author in the book make it a compelling and enjoyable read. The story has good movement and the sequence of events is not predictable, which increases curiosity in readers. This is a book definitely worth reading for its unique presentation of events. A compelling read that will leave a lot of sensory impressions on readers.
