It was Grandpa Mouse's birthday and Millie loved parties, balloons, cake, and presents. Millie asked her Grandma what present she could get Grandpa and she said it would be magic. Now Millie did not know where to find magic and she thought she would ask her friend Toby. He told her there was magic far, far away, and though Millie had never traveled that far, she knew she had to find some magic for her Grandpa's birthday. Millie set off and she searched and searched in the trees, in the pond, and on the mountain but she couldn't find any magic. Millie was tired and came back home and slept. The next day morning when she told her Grandpa about searching for magic what did he tell her?
Millie's Magic by Hilary Hawkes is an uplifting and positive story that will make the children appreciate the magic inside them. The narration is so beautiful and enchanting it will enable children to understand the concept easily. Andrea Petrlik's illustrations add to the magic of the story and the characters. Millie the Mouse's character is adorable and children will love her and her enthusiasm to find the perfect birthday gift for her Grandpa. It is a lovely story that will make young readers feel special about themselves and that makes it good to use for storytelling and read-aloud sessions in classrooms and homes. The activities at the end of the book are interactive and engaging and can be used during activity times at school and home. This story of adventure and magic will captivate readers and leave them feeling magical.
