Michael is the second book in the Michael trilogy and the fifth book in the Horseless Horsemen series by Ross C Miller. The story begins with Rita waking up in a freshly murdered body after being summoned to a mysterious Red Woman event. With terrifying new threats emerging, Rita confronts her inner monster only to realize that the danger is far from over. When Justice and Germaine arrive to retrieve her, they find themselves unprepared for the chaos awaiting them. With few allies left, they turn to Michael, a rare living friend who’s already entangled in the same mess. However, things take a sinister turn when Rita becomes the prime target. If she fails, the whole group fails. But can she win against an entity that is far more powerful than she ever was or will be?

I’m simply in love with this series. Author Ross C Miller creates the most interesting paranormal fiction novels, and this one did not disappoint. The narrative masterfully blends elements of the supernatural, suspense, and complex character dynamics. I loved how the narrative is fast-paced without compromising on the plot integrity or the character development. I enjoyed how Rita grew in confidence, became a savior, and a focal point of the efforts put forward by the Horsemen. Rita’s psychological depth and role as both victim and savior make the story even more interesting. Michael’s introduction offers a fascinating layer of intrigue and loyalty within the often-fractured team dynamic. Michael proved to be a great novel, one that kept me entertained until the end!

Michael: A Horseless Horsemen Novel by Ross C. Miller is a spellbinding story that features great writing, a plot that transforms the story into a page-turner and unforgettable characters. Rita responds to the call to an event and finds herself bound to an odd chair. She is not an easy one, and when Justice and Germaine come for her, they are not prepared for the surprise she reserves for them. Her psychic powers are so strong that — like a being able to possess another — she watches herself strapped in the chair through the eyes of Justice. The Horseless Horsemen are in for a surprise like no other in their careers. If they fail in this task, the consequences are grave and irrevocable. They had thought this was going to be easy, but the surprises this enemy reserves for them are enormous.

Ross C. Miller has a unique voice and style of writing and her creative genius brings to life a story that will be delightful to fans of the paranormal. I loved the story from the very beginning and enjoyed the drama as it opens the narrative and moves it steadily forward. The beautiful prose is enriched by the timely paragraph breaks, the sentences that are well-crafted to translate the drama, and the uncanny way the author explores the emotions of the characters. Michael: A Horseless Horsemen Novel is a wonderful story with terrific descriptions and the author knows how to engage the emotions of readers. The characters are convincing, utterly, and Rita stands out in her beauty and her unique powers. There is everything that fans of fantasy and the paranormal look for in a story in this novel — and there is more!

Michael by Ross C Miller is the second book in the titular trilogy, and fifth in the Horseless Horsemen series. In book one, Robert struggles with guilt after Justice dies in Fukushima. Years later, he wanders, haunted by fragmented memories and internal struggles. Book two follows Rita, who wakes up in murder victims' bodies and uncovers a disturbing pattern, leading to the decaying Grey Man. In book three, Gerrie, raised in isolation, pursues a shape-shifting ancient evil linked to early humanity. Book four introduces Michael, who finds a hidden room in an abandoned house and releases a child's spirit trapped for decades. Now, Rita awakens in a murdered body at a Red Woman event, prompting Justice and Germaine to seek help from Michael, as the fragile group known as the Horseless Horsemen begins to unravel.

Ross C. Miller’s Michael is another brilliant novel in which he skillfully combines mythological details, such as colors linked to the Horsemen, and rules governing travel between realms with character experiences, including Michael’s notable absence of color that links to the ambiguity of his emotional state. The symbolism is excellent, especially in the way death functions as both a practical condition but also as an emotional barrier, with it all integrated organically into the plot. This installment is ripe with relentless, latent hostility, exemplified by the bomb threat involving a child and a hospital. I genuinely cannot even comprehend a more urgent danger! The emotional moments, such as Gerrie’s physical openness reflecting her inner state, are presented with care and precision through actions and interactions. Miller’s attention to character and world details results in a wonderful new read that grounds the story and ticks all the boxes.

Michael: Book 2 of the Michael Trilogy, Book 5 of the Horseless Horsemen by Ross C. Miller, is a dark thriller that follows Michael and the three Horseless Horsemen as they try to track down a dangerous murderer and bring justice. Michael meets Lily, a woman who was brought to life after being dead for a long time. They fell in love and got married. Unfortunately, Lily goes missing, and Michael learns about her death, feeling completely devastated and emotionally down. The Horseless Horsemen—known for their powers like switching bodies and handling souls, including Rita, Gerrie, and Justice—join the case as Rita switches bodies with Lily's own. They team up with Michael after he receives a strange text that shows the killer is planning to make more dangerous moves. Michael and the Horseless Horsemen, while mourning their losses, face tough situations and carry out strategic plans, growing close like a family to stop the killer and honor Lily.

The author did a great job with this book. One feature of the Horseless Horsemen series I love so much is how each of them comes with a strong prologue and intro that gives a solid foundation to the story. There were lots of emotional and heartwarming scenes that left me with goosebumps; I felt really bad for Rita and Michael. I loved the fact that the antagonist, Albert, was very smart, tactical, and manipulative. It helped raise the tension and also helped make the plot unpredictable. The book stood out to me in many areas: the characters were well developed, the storyline met my expectations, the scenes were well organized, the plot flowed smoothly, and the actions were top-notch. I loved how the Horseless Horsemen relied on each other and shared great moments; it shows the human part of them, despite their mysterious nature. Michael and Lily's relationship added warmth. The narrative covers themes of grief, justice, identity, and love. I recommend Michael by Ross C. Miller to readers who enjoy suspense, romance, and supernatural mysteries.

In Michael: The Horseless Horsemen Book 5 by Ross C. Miller, Michael is suddenly faced with the unbelievable truth: Justice, Rita, and Germaine, the mysterious Horseless Horsemen, are real. Things kick off when Rita is summoned to a Red Woman event and wakes up in the body of someone who was just murdered. Rita has to fully come to her senses before Justice and Germaine can hear her and track her down. Once she was awake, Rita confronted the killer, told him he had been served, ripped his soul from his body, and then later put it back. But what shocks Justice and Germaine is discovering whose body Rita had ended up in. The three of them go straight to Michael to show him what was happening and promise to get to the bottom of it. But when they go looking for the killer, he has already vanished. Somehow, this killer knows their every move. Now the Horseless Horsemen and Michael are racing against time to catch the killer and find out who was behind everything.

Michael: The Horseless Horsemen by Ross C. Miller was an incredible thriller that captivated me right from the beginning. The storyline was filled with action, and with numerous twists and turns, I could never predict what would happen next. The writing style was captivating, and I found it easy to immerse myself in the story. The events were vividly described, making it easy to visualize and become part of them. The characters were well-developed and felt authentic. Michael had a connection with the Horseless Horsemen, but there was still much more he needed to understand about them. The story was beautifully crafted and contained all the elements of a great read. I became so absorbed in the plot that it took me a few moments to come back to reality after I finished reading it.

Michael: A Horseless Horsemen Novel is the second book in the Michael trilogy and the fifth book in the Horseless Horsemen series by Ross C. Miller, a spellbinding supernatural narrative with memorable characters. Rita attends a Red Woman event and wakes up in the dead body of a newly murdered person. Justice and Germaine are shocked at what they discover when they come to collect her. The stakes are growing, and the scales do not favor the Horseless Horsemen as Rita becomes a target of a powerful enemy. Can Michael help them? The story follows Michael’s encounters with a web of mysterious threats, and while he is a skilled problem solver, he is enmeshed in a bloody war that involves hackers, covert operations, and supernatural entities.

Ross C. Miller continues to mesmerize readers with stellar storytelling, employing literary techniques that enrich the story, from the well-crafted supernatural elements, featuring ghosts, demons, and time-traveling entities, to conflict that moves the story forward in unexpected directions. The plot thickens as Michael and his allies, including supernatural beings and law enforcement, race against time to uncover a conspiracy that spans time and space. I enjoyed the vividly drawn setting that moves from the mundane—the quiet town of Riverton, familiar homes, and everyday locations such as McDonald's and post offices—and the supernatural realms that exist just beyond perception, like underground caves and the spiritual plane. The characters are intriguing and cleverly written. Michael is the pragmatic problem solver; Lily is a mysterious and beautiful woman with a dark past; Rita is a ghostly character with a tragic history; and Gerrie is a supernatural guide and protector. I was fascinated by how well the author writes about the nature of trust, identity, and the eternal struggle between good and evil. This novel is as entertaining as anything I have read by this author. Fans of supernatural novels won’t put it down.
