Money, Madness, and Murder is a sleuth mystery thriller by Helen Wills. A former police officer turned PI, Harry Bennett has a perplexing case on his hands when his best friend Buddy Thibodeaux's wife Jennifer is shot dead in her front yard. With help from his ever-loyal friend and working partner Charley, Harry follows one clue after another, only to find himself held back by Detective Drake Vargas, who has a personal grudge against him. Meanwhile, FBI Agent Sophia is searching for a vigilante killer who has been eliminating gang members and ends up unwittingly crossing paths with Harry during his investigation. As the list of suspects narrows, things get even more complicated with Harry suffering from inexplicable blackouts. Will Harry get to the bottom of the mystery before more lives are lost?

Fans of whodunnit novels are in for a treat with Money, Madness, and Murder. Helen Wills crafts a nail-biting detective thriller you don't want to put down for a single moment. Wills pulls the rug from under your feet over and over again with some unexpected twists and turns to the plot that you never see coming. This sleuth murder mystery also has some psychological elements that add to the suspense and intrigue, bringing a palpable sense of tension to the narrative. Harry is a complex character, with layers to peel away beneath his outward persona. I can guarantee most readers will be completely shocked by the ending. I know I was. A brilliant tale of murder.
