Moonlight Walkers by Courtney Moore is a children's fantasy that follows Sakura, a wolf with a remarkable destiny. After a fierce battle against the evil dragon Balthazar, Sakura is forcibly transported to a mysterious island inhabited by special wolves with wings. Unfortunately, she is not welcomed there because she lacks wings and is treated like an outcast. However, she forms a friendship with Tylo, the Alpha’s son, but grapples with guilt about getting close to him since she doesn't want to betray her betrothed, Prince Denver. Sakura tries to find a way to return home, but the islanders inform her that their island is enclosed, and the only way out is through treacherous realms. To leave and confront the dark forces she may encounter, she will need to gain powers and train. Complicating matters, the other wolves begin plotting against her, driven by fear and jealousy of her unique abilities.

Moonlight Walkers is the second book in the Isle of Old series and continues Sakura’s journey of self-discovery and growth. The story is engaging and filled with important lessons, highlighting themes of friendship, loyalty, bravery, and the importance of embracing one’s uniqueness. From the opening scenes that reveal Sakura’s origins to the climactic final standoff, the tale captures your attention and keeps you invested. I loved getting to know the characters and understanding their struggles and motivations. Tylo is a fantastic addition to the series; he is skilled and presents complex emotions that enhance Sakura's journey. Courtney Moore's storytelling is immersive, seamlessly blending fantasy elements with life-changing lessons. Young readers will learn about resilience, celebrating differences, and embracing others. Overall, this is a great read, and I am excited to explore the next part of Sakura’s adventure.

Moonlight Walkers is a fantasy by Courtney Moore that tells the story of magical wolves and dragons. It follows Sakura, a wolf from a distant land who awakens on a beach, confused about how she arrived there. All she knows is that her friends are in danger from King Orion, a fierce dragon with malicious intent. She has no way of protecting them and hopes to return as soon as possible. Sakura meets a clan of winged wolves, called Moonlight Walkers, who are hostile to her because she does not have wings like them. She gets close to one of them, Tylo, and together they embark on a mission to discover the secret to her heritage and the magic tied to her lineage. Throughout her journey, Sakura faces both internal struggles and external threats, relying on her resilience to navigate the challenges ahead and find a way back home.
