Moonshadow Over Red Moon Hill is a gripping romance thriller by Cynthia L. Clark. Brody Mars' seemingly perfect life turns upside down when his fiancée, Althea Wilson, leaves him unexpectedly. To recover from his heartbreak, Brody decides to spend some time in the family cabin in Colorado, near the historic mountain mining town of Red Moon Hill. Upon exploring the small town, Brody comes across Tessa Mackenzie, a young astronomer trying to escape the clutches of a dangerous man. Tessa was an unwitting witness to a murder that forced her to go on the run. Brody and Tessa soon strike up a friendship layered with romantic overtones, but the threat posed by the killer follows them every step of the way. Will Brody and Tessa find a way to be free and end up together?

Cynthia L. Clark weaves a captivating romance with suspense, mystery, and thrills. Clark takes her time to set up the characters and the plot, but it pays off in spades later on. Moonshadow Over Red Moon Hill slowly draws you into a story that becomes increasingly engrossing the further along you read. Red Moon Hill feels like an actual mountain mining town, and the author brilliantly builds the atmosphere while capturing the surrounding environment. Both Brody and Tessa are trying to move on from their pasts, and it makes their bond and relationship all the more compelling for the reader. The ending was very satisfying, and I think other readers will like it too. In conclusion, if you enjoy romance novels with a sprinkling of suspense and mystery, this will be right up your alley.
